DepcuraDependency Health & Security

Docs · Getting started

Open a folder. Scan. Read. Export.

1 · Open a project folder

Choose the project root on your Windows PC. Depcura reads manifests where the files already live; originals are never modified by scanning.

2 · Run the local scan

Depth, file and manifest limits keep large trees bounded. Watch progress; cancel any time — cancelled scans store nothing.

3 · Read the score and findings

Start with the deterministic score, then filter findings by severity, package or ecosystem. Each finding names the evidence; undeterminable severity shows as Info.

4 · Preview a safe change

Where supported, preview the diff, confirm the backup, apply, and rely on automatic validation rollback if checks fail. Roll back manually afterwards if needed.

5 · Enrich only if you choose

Grant CHECK ONCE or ALWAYS to add advisory and registry context to the stored report. Revoke any time; clearing the cache removes stored lookup records.

6 · Export the report

Export JSON, CSV or self-contained HTML from the report view. PDF uses the native print-dialog fallback until automatic rendering is verified on-device. Path redaction stays on by default.

Scope notes

What these docs assume.

  • Depcura 1.0.0 for Windows; no account or sign-in.
  • History, consent and cache live in a local SQLite store under your Windows profile.
  • Get the app from the Microsoft Store listing; these steps describe the released app.

Know what your dependencies are doing.

Depcura scans a project folder on your Windows PC, explains each finding in plain words, and keeps every online check behind an explicit consent gate.
